4to. A journal kept by Richard Doyle in the year 1840. Illustrated with several hundred sketches by the author. Original brown pictorial cloth, all edges gilt. Lithographic portrait frontispiece, journal reproduced in facsimile throughout. Cloth a little marked, leaves loose in gutta-percha binding, some foxing of prelims, boards very good and gilt bright.
