First edition. slightest of bumping to spine ends otherwise near fine. Inscribed and Signed by the author. A beautiful copy With colour portraits of Wilbur and Orville Wright by Milton Caniff. Terrific pictures of the homecoming given to the brothers in Dayton in 1909. Inscribed on front pastedown "For Peg Hoerner from Bob and Helen, Speedy Recovery! All good wishes, Rosamond Young."

Journal Herald 1978 First Edition Milton Caniff Signed by Author
148pp. Photos, illustrations, some in color. 4to. Boldly signed by Milton Caniff on ffep - he did the two reproduced portrait of the Wrights featured in the book. also signed & inscribed by author Rosamond Young, and presented to Charles Horn, Mayor of Kettering, Ohio, who in turn signed & presented it to Dick Hartman. A couple of fairly unobtrusive light spots on cover and one 1.5" mark. Small dent in spine. Very tough to find first edition signed by Caniff along with an interesting history. Caniff was a prolific and well known comic book artist who died in 1988. Please e-mail for more pictures.
